House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to Report on Eclipse 500 FAA Certification

Relying in part on interim findings by the Department of Transportation Inspector General Calvin L. Scovel, the House of Representatives subcommittee determined that irregularities exist with respect to the FAA’s approach to the certification of the Eclipse 500 jet. However, there is no finding that the Eclipse 500 is unsafe, or that the FAA certification process was compromised.
