NAV Canada Is Sending Goods and Services Tax Questionnaires to Operators

NAV Canada has begun sending questionnaires to business aircraft owners regarding the application of a five percent (5%) goods and services tax on air navigation services charges. The Canadian Revenue Authority assets, that non-commercial (Part 91) operations are not exempt from the goods and services tax. Should a commercial operator fail to return the questionnaire, the goods and services tax will apply to future air navigation service charges.
